In their pursuit of victory, Kolkata faced an early setback with the dismissal of the in-form opener Sunil Narine. However, Venkatesh Iyer and Rahmanullah Gurbaz stepped up with a solid partnership of 91 runs for the second wicket, making the chase one of the smoothest in tournament history.
